Fees and Service :.We don't board horses, but if you have a stallion who is seeking a new educational environment we are happy to discuss a slot in our program with you and your boy. We've done everything from basic ground manners refresher courses to full, multi-year programs designed to take young horses from their first under-saddle experience through success in Grand Prix showjumping competition.
Occasionally, we will travel offsite to do in-person evaluations or clinic-style sessions but this is not the focus of our activities. We've worked hard to structure a healthy, safe, secure, enjoyable home environment for our stallions and the indirect cost of being away from the farm is something we're cognizant of any time we travel.
There's no shortcuts to a well-educated, confident, respectful stallion. If you are looking for someone to wave a magic wand and make "problems" go away with hoo-haw about joining up and expensive cowboy hats, I'll be glad to refer you to more media-frendly whisperer-types who specialize in that sort of nonsense. Here, we're focused on doing the real work of teaching our stallion friends important skills so that they can lead productive, happy, fulfilled lives in this human-centric world of ours. Exceptional beings aren't born exceptional; they are nurtured through good environments, caring supporters, and an honest education.
I'm not in the "horse business" to make money. So I'm not out chasing rich clients who will shovel cash my way so long as I tell them what they want to hear. If you're used to that sort of "service" from trainers, I'll surely disappoint. I'm too focused on the care and well-being of our boys to waste time blowing sunshine up anyone's butt. Besides, I like spending time with horses much more than with people, plain and simple.
So I don't have set fees, for anything other than per-dose semen shipments. If you'd like us to help out with something other than that, drop us a note and we'll talk. And, no, I'm not a broker and I don't buy and sell horses to make a buck. Most of the stallions in my barn have been with me for five years or more - that's no accident. I form close relationships with all of our boys, and a revolving door isn't conducive to genuinely content stallions. Stallions - all horses - are herd animals, and discontinuity in their life, when taken too far, can break their hearts. It can break my heart, too.
